Devil’s Tower National Monument | Wyoming

Our next stop on #karasroadtrip17 was Devil’s Tower. It was the first National Monument ever and for good reason. It is truly unique.

It is Gerrit’s goal to climb it and in the near future. But this time we walked the path that goes all around the tower so we could see it from all angles.

There is a lot of Native American history and culture surrounding the tower. We actually stayed in the park, just for one night, but the month of June is a sacred time for the natives and they were singing and dancing that evening at the campground. It was really neat to listen to!

The mysterious legend behind Devil’s Tower is really interesting. Check it out here!
