Redwoods National Park | Fern Canyon

Hiking Fern Canyon in the Redwoods

The Redwoods is a gorgeous National Park with giant mossy trees and a thick forest of greenery. We took a short hike into Fern Canyon. The canyon is exactly as its name suggests full of ferns!

The canyon walls are completely covered with them from the floor to the tops of the walls, with moss and other neon green plants. A creek runs through it and the stone covered ground is littered with fallen trees, leaves, and sticks.

We climbed around on the logs and went as far we could go before the fallen trees were too thick to climb through.

We didn’t spend too much time in the area, because we were still so tired from Half Dome, but it was a great experience.

After our hike we went back to the RV and started our drive further north into Bend, Oregon.
